The Special Libraries Association (SLA) is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2024 Scholarships, awarded to outstanding professionals pursuing careers in special librarianship, information science, and related fields. This year’s recipients have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to advancing the profession.

The 2024 SLA Scholarship recipients are:

  • Allison Cathey
  • Dana Ellwood
  • Jennifer Hunter
  • Nicholas Pyzdrowski
  • Caitlin Sheil
  • Ellen Woolf

These scholarships are intended to assist current SLA members enrolled in a post-secondary degree program in Library/Information Science or a related field and must not have already graduated at the time of the award. There were nearly 30 applicants, and the winners were awarded $5,000 each for their education.

“Bringing back scholarships demonstrates SLA’s commitment to supporting the professional and educational needs of its members,” states John DiGilio, SLA’s 2024 President. “It’s another example of how we can provide value to our members by returning to our roots as an Association and the ideals on which we were founded.”
