SLA was excited to hold the 2024 Annual Conference celebrating our 115th Anniversary on July 13 – 16, 2024 at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI. This premier event delivered education sessions, an exciting exhibit hall, unparalleled networking opportunities, and much more!
The SLA Annual Conference provided special librarians and information professionals with programming on emerging topics and trends in knowledge and information management.
Attendees heard from dynamic and inspiring speakers, connected with colleagues, and met with leading information product and service providers. This event not only elevated your professional knowledge and network, but also celebrated our industry, accomplishments, and passion.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The SLA 2024 conference was held Saturday, July 13 through Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston Rhode Island. The majority of the conference took place in the Center for Biotechnology and Life Sciences (CBLS). Conference
registration opened on Saturday, July 13th with limited programming and the Welcome Reception from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Sunday, July 14 kicked off at 8:00 am with an SLA Town Hall followed by the Keynote Address. Continuing education courses
and special events took place on July 14 -16. In addition to sessions, INFO-EXPO is where attendees could learn about new products and provide vendor feedback. The INFO-EXPO (exhibit hall) was open at 8:00 AM on Sunday, July 14.

ACCOMMODATIONS
SLA made arrangements for a variety of local accommodations including a small block of private bedrooms in the apartment-style suite dorms on campus at the University of Rhode Island and at two local hotels. There were shuttles provided from the hotels to campus and vice versa.
